The Gauteng Provincial Community Police Board (GPCPB) is a juristic person established under the South African Police Service Act 68 of 1995 and the Interim Regulations of 2001. We represent 22 sub-districts across Gauteng's five major districts — Ekurhuleni, Johannesburg, Tshwane, Sedibeng and West Rand — with a single mandate: to build a genuine, accountable partnership between communities and the South African Police Service.
Our current Executive was elected at the 7 May 2022 Elective AGM in Johannesburg, presided over by the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa (EISA), and serves a five-year term through to 2027.

Led by Executive PRO Mr. Pillay, Head of the Technology Committee, the Gauteng CPF Joint Operational Centre is driving the Smart Province vision through LPR/ANPR integration, trend detection, heat-mapping, and a cascading Provincial → District → Station information model — all aligned to SAPS, CIMAC, and POPIA compliance standards.
